But the vast majority do not dare to dream about the life they want or define when they want it. Instead they drift through life doing their best to cope with life’s twists and turns as they arise, otherwise known as ‘making ends meet’. It’s noble. But foolish.

We all have the opportunity to dictate our future. But it doesn’t just happen at the click of one’s fingers.

First of all it requires the BELIEF that it is possible to control the outcomes you want in your life.

Secondly, it requires VISION. A vision of what you want your future to be.

The vision should include thoughts on the following:

• What do you want your life to look like in the future?
• Where will you be living?
• What will you be doing?
• What will you value in life? And why?
• When do you want to be there?

From there it takes ACTION:

• What are you willing to do to achieve your vision?
• What sacrifices are you willing to make?
• Do you really need that expensive watch or car if it means delaying financial freedom by a few years?
• Are you working hard enough? Are you fulfilling your earning potential?
• Is it time to get out of your comfort zone?
• Have you reached out to a Financial Adviser?

Arguably, time is our most precious commodity. Once it’s gone you can’t get it back.
